SUMMARY:2025 MRDA Championships
DESCRIPTION:Concussion Roller Derby is excited and honored to be hosting 2025 MRDA Champs. We expect to see some intense\, high level derby. Competing this year are 11 of the top teams from around the world; representing the US\, UK\, France and Mexico. Concussion and the MRDA is also excited to host two JRDA exposition bouts on Sunday\, 1pm & 3pm\, for the first time at MRDA Championships! \nFirst game is Friday\, October 10th at 11am\, then 1pm\, 3pm\, 5pm and 7pm. \nSaturday and Sunday games are 9am\, 11am\, 1pm\, 3pm 5pm and 7pm\, with Sunday at 5pm and 7pm being the Bronze and Championship games respectively. \nGames will also be streamed live on the MRDA Youtube for those who cannot make it to see the action in person.  The stream will be FREE\, despite the expense and effort that goes into it\, so we appreciate any donations from stream viewers for those so inclined.  \nAs of the last rankings before the Championships\, Concussion is ranked #3\, the highest in it’s history. We are fired up and ready to face the best teams in the world to fight for gold medals and The Rockey (MRDA’s Championship Cup).\n \nPresent at the tournament will be many excellent vendors\, including Five Stride\, Fritzy’s Skate Shop\, Riptide Sports and Radical Wheels providing all your skate needs\, and In Perfect Balance Massage to help you destress and help skaters work out kinks before their big games.\n \n

We’ll have beer\, a food cart\, merch\, and lots of great people to hang out with while you watch. We hope to see you there!\n\n\nTeam Tournament Info (Team fee payment details in the sign up form):\n\nTeam Sign Up Form: https://forms.gle/JNKjU91Bf2zrYSzy9\n\nMake your fellowships of 7 and embark on an epic quest to help Concussion Roller Derby raise funds for hosting MRDA Championships while competing against 7 other teams in a double elimination bracketed tournament!\n\nWhat is a 7s tournament? A 7s tournament\, in a nutshell\, cuts normal flat track roller derby in half.\n\n– Rosters are made up of 7 skaters (Teams can have 0-2 alts\, for a charter up to 9)\n– Games are a single 21 minute period\n– Skaters foul out at 4 penalties\n– Each team has 1 timeout per game\, which can be used as an official review\n– Typically 7 teams participate in the tournament\, in this case we have 8 for an even bracket\n\nFellowship of the Skates details:\n\nWho: WFTDA/MRDA ruleset\, open gender\, must be 18 or older.\n\nWhen: Saturday\, June 21st (all day)\nWhere: Cherry City Madhouse\, 1335 Madison St NE\, Salem OR 97301\n\n\n-$200 fee per team\n-All teams are guaranteed a minimum of two games.\n-Teams must register by May 24th\n-Teams will be selected by May 31st\n-Fun team themes\, including but not limited to fantasy\, are encouraged!
